Stained Glass Restoration

Leaded windows are just one part of my work with glass.  I have been fortunate to have been asked to restore a very special piece of stained glass in St Mary’s Church, Dalton. This took time as the piece has to look as though it has been part of the window for at least the last 100 years! I cut the glass to the shape of the broken piece and paint the part of the picture missing and then ‘age’ the glass so it does not stand out. This took several attempts in the kiln to achieve the right look.
